A little more about me...

FUN FACT #1

reality star drop out

A few years ago I got asked to be on a reality TV show called "Same Name" where you switch lives with a celebrity that has the same name as you--in my case, Sports Illustrated model Marisa Miller. Having just had my 3rd son a few weeks before the call, I respectfully declined my big reality TV show debut. Speaking of shows, ones I could watch on repeat (and likely know all the words by heart) are The Office, Friends, Ted Lasso & Psych. I also know the lyrics to far too many 90's & 2000's hip hop and R&B songs.

Flour power

When I'm not taking photos, you're likely to find me in our kitchen with my daughter baking something for our crew, which happens to include 3 teenage boys. Cookies are definitely my speciality, but cakes, bread and delicious goodies are always in rotation at our house. The cake stand is never empty for long. Four kids in our family adds up to 57 different birthday cakes--and counting! We've tackled a ton of themes & celebrations. Let's just say there's been a LOT of baking over the years!

FUN FACT #3

Picky palate

I've never tried an avocado. Yikes! I know. Not even on toast. I hope we can still be friends. Ha! Apparently this picky eater kid turned into a picky eater adult. I also didn't have my first cup of coffee until I was 23, and I've been hooked ever since. I literally go to bed excited to wake up for that first cup. Give me a hot mug of coffee any time of day and I will be one happy (and caffeinated) girl!

FUN FACT #4

Anchored

You might wonder how the Colorado girl ended up with an anchor in her logo. My love of anchors runs deep, which seems fitting with the name Marisa that means "Of the Sea." A nod to the coast & sea (some of my favorite places to soak up), anchors also serve as a symbol of a Bible verse that has been a constant reminder in my life:

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm & secure."

-Hebrews 6:19
